skills competition

Sam was chosen as the breakaway guy for the skills competition today! He did so great!

Sam's goal

We had a parents vs. kids game! It was so fun to compete against Sam! Stephan was yelling stuff like 'yer going down Sam! ' then Sam would yell back 'oh no I'm not!' this first year of hockey with him has made me realize how motivated a child can be when they're passionate about something. instead of me saying 'come on we're gonna be late' it's him pulling me out the door!
So this morning we all went to the rink for 8 am and again I was thrilled to cheer for my boy and his team. When he scored his goal I jumped up and down with as much enthusiasm as if he'd won a gold medal! it's so wonderful to see how Kimball cheers for him too.  Norah could care less about watching hockey, but she does have a new talent in blowing the HORN!!

should I blog again?

let's see if this works! I want to blog again, I really do! I'm doing this on my phone! here's my five top moments today:
1. teaching Anna to make quiche for dinner
2. doing yoga with a bunch of cute little sweeties!
3. hearing my 10 yr old son say our family prayer tonight
4. playing dodgeball at the church with a bunch of crazy kids!
5. watching my husband teach Kimball how to play T. Swift on guitar

Iron kids triathlon at the base

Anna, Norah and Sam participated in the kids trial at the base. Kimball injured his ankle so he couldn't do it this year. Norah was the youngest athlete there! They all did their very best and had a lot of fun!  Our friends the Wade's joined us too!
