Reading

One of our favourite things to do with our children is read novels aloud together. 

(I know many of you do this too...isn't it great?!)

I had to snap this photo of Stephan and the kids reading outside...it's one of those times that you hope you'll always remember...what did we talk about, what did we eat...what did we read...so, on this day in May, 2011, the kids are reading The Fellowship of the Ring with their dad...(he skips all the elven songs etc., and has to recap what's going on about every page or so, but hey, great story)

Green grass maze

For Family Home Evening on Monday night I mowed a maze in the grass

and we played Fox & Geese.  I love playing any kind of chasing game with my children...it makes me feel like a kid again.  It's kind of a bummer that they can outrun me now though.  So, Stephan, if you're watching, we wish you would have been here to play with us.  Two weeks is much too long for you to be away...2 more days and then you'll be here.

Norah realized today that the leaves on our tree match the leaf on the flag.

Even if I paid him, Sam will not cut his hair.
