Wow! The church has redone the movie entitled Joseph Smith: Prophet of the Restoration (if you click on the link scroll down and you'll find the link to the movie) to make it clearer to people that have no background knowledge of the prophet. It is beautifully done. It is about an hour long, and very worth it.
General Conference was wonderful this past weekend. We made the traditional conference tent in front of the tv with snacks and coloring pages. I must say as I looked around at all the faces of our family in the room and feeling the spirit as the choir began the first session, my heart was very full. I feel as blessed as a girl can be.
Oma and Opa left very early this morning. Although it is lovely to live in so many places, there is nothing that replaces family relationships in our lives. If you ever read this Herman and Mieke, please know we loved having you here! All of your grandchildren are so blessed because they feel so loved by you! Okay, I better get on with my day here...laundry, here I come.
fill me in on how you make your conference tent...i love the idea- reminds me of King Benjamin days. what types of snacks did you serve? and may i say, reading your blog gives me an enormous impression of you being a true "mother in Zion"- a beacon of light; you're an uplifting example to us all...thanks Somer!

p.s. I've been singing the song you have posted as a music video on your blog- "Whole Wide World" I think it's called, anyway, can't get it out of my head- so catchy! I looked up some of her other stuff on YouTube and found another great video/song entitled "Anchor"-check it out. and if you have a minute, fill me in on how you found this artist- i've never heard of her...is she Canadian?
